What DOMS actually is — and what it isn't.
DOMS is the tenderness, stiffness and dulled strength that follows unfamiliar or eccentric-loaded training — long descents on the bike, first sprint session of the pre-season, going one plate heavier on squats. The dominant modern understanding: microscopic damage to muscle fibres and connective tissue, triggering a local inflammatory response and mild nerve sensitisation. It's not lactic acid — that clears within hours. And it's not a reliable measure of workout quality; it's a measure of novelty and eccentric load.
The problem isn't the soreness itself. It's the downstream cost: reduced range of motion, dropped power output, disrupted sleep, and a Tuesday session that gets skipped because Monday's legs won't cooperate. That's what recovery technology exists to shorten.

Is DOMS a sign of a good workout?

Not really. DOMS reflects unfamiliar or eccentric-heavy work, not training quality. You can progress beautifully with mild or zero soreness, and a session that leaves you crippled isn't automatically effective. Use DOMS as feedback about novelty and load — not a badge of honour.
How soon after training should I use Pulsio?

Any time within the first 24 hours captures the most benefit, and pre-bed sessions double as a nervous-system down-regulator. Guests training twice a day often stack a session between workouts to keep the second one sharp.
How long is a session and how does it feel?

20–30 minutes lying back with the boots (or sleeves) inflating in rhythmic waves. Firm but not painful — the pressure is prescription-grade adjustable. Most people describe it as somewhere between a deep massage and finally being allowed to switch off.
Who is this NOT suitable for?
