Master the squat — with a coach who knows your body.

The squat is the most honest movement in the gym. It tells you about your ankles, your hips, your bracing, your patience. Coached well, it builds strength that carries into every other lift and every other day. Coached badly — or not at all — it becomes the reason people quit. At Balance Body Hub, you get a private floor, a coach on every rep, and recovery tech next door for the days your legs ask for it back.

The 1:1 format

One coach. One lifter. Every rep.

A boutique 1:1 session isn't a group class with fewer people. It's a different product. Your coach isn't scanning a room — they're watching your knees, your ribcage, your breath. When your left hip stalls at parallel, they see it on rep two. When you're bracing from your neck instead of your belly, they say so before rep five. Nothing about the session is generic: not the warm-up, not the weight, not the rest between sets.

That's why the squat is a good place to start. It reveals the honest ceiling of your training — and it's the fastest lift to progress once someone actually watches you do it.

How we coach the squat

Four phases. One honest lift.

01

Movement screen

Ankle mobility, hip depth, thoracic rotation, foot pressure. Before we load anything, we map what your squat actually looks like today — not what a textbook says it should.

02

Pattern first

Bodyweight, tempo, box depth, breath. We rebuild the pattern with cues that fit your body — stance width, foot angle, torso lean — so every rep reinforces the right shape.

03

Load with intent

Goblet, front-rack, back squat — the variation is chosen for your leverages and goals, not the coach's preference. Weight is added when the pattern earns it, not when the clock says so.

04

Own it under fatigue

The last rep should look like the first. We program accessories, tempo work and unilateral drills so strength transfers into real life, not just a PR reel.

After leg day

Train hard. Recover harder.

A good squat session leaves a signature — heavy quads, tender adductors, a spine that wants to lengthen. What you do in the ninety minutes after determines whether that's a productive stimulus or the reason you skip Thursday. We build recovery into the same visit.

PEMF Mat — 20 minutes

Pulsed electromagnetic fields support circulation and cellular recovery — the reason your quads feel walkable on Monday instead of concrete. Programmed straight after your session while your nervous system is already primed to down-regulate.

Red Light Therapy — 15 minutes

Targeted red and near-infrared wavelengths support muscle repair, joint comfort and mitochondrial function. Most lifters feel the difference on the following morning's warm-up — knees quieter, hips looser, the second session of the week easier to attack.

1:1 PT · FAQ

Myth-busting FAQ.

I've never squatted with a barbell. Is this for me?

+

Especially for you. Most first-session guests have never held a bar. We start with the pattern — often just bodyweight or a goblet — and only load when your mechanics are honest. There's no ego in a 1:1 room.

My knees hurt when I squat. Should I avoid it?

+

Usually the opposite. Well-coached squats build the muscle and control that healthy knees depend on. We adjust depth, stance and tempo to work with your joints — and pair sessions with red light and PEMF to keep tissues responsive.

How is 1:1 different from a group class or online plan?

+

A coach watches every rep. Cues change in real time. Load, tempo and rest are dialled to your body on the day — not the day a spreadsheet was written. That's the difference between training and just working out.

How often should I train to see change?

+

Two focused 1:1 sessions per week is the sweet spot for most people — enough stimulus to progress, enough recovery to keep progressing. We build the plan around your week, not the other way round.

What does recovery look like after leg day here?

+

PEMF mat for circulation and cellular recovery, red light therapy for muscle repair and joint comfort. Both are steps from the training floor — so you cool down, recover and leave in one visit, not three.

Where are you and what are your hours?
