PEMF therapy · Tottenham Hale, N17
Mat, chair, headset and goggles in a private recovery zone in North London. We scan before we programme, so the protocol matches your recovery markers rather than a generic setting — then we re-scan to check it actually worked. Open 6am to 11pm, seven days.
Why here
Unit 22, Millmead Industrial Estate, N17 9QU — walkable from Tottenham Hale station, two Overground stops from Liverpool Street, quick from Walthamstow, Hackney, Islington and Enfield, free parking on site.
Full-body mat, PEMF chair, headset and goggles. Low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields delivered where your baseline says they're most useful — whole-system, seated spine and hips, or head and eyes for sleep and mental load.
Intensity, frequency band and duration are set per goal — recovery, sleep, pain, stress load — and written down. You get the same protocol next visit rather than whatever dial was left on.
PEMF is wellbeing support: non-invasive, non-diagnostic. We'll tell you what it plausibly helps with, what the evidence is thin on, and when the answer is sleep and load management instead.
The scan-led approach
Most PEMF is sold as a session you buy and hope helps. Ours starts with a scan, so the dose is chosen from evidence about your body and re-checked against the same measurements later. That loop is the whole point of the hub.
A Balance Body Scan first: vitals, heart-rate variability, body systems and voice patterning. That's the reference point everything after is measured against — from £69, and included monthly on Rejuvenate and Realign.
Recovery markers, stress load and where you carry pain determine format and dose. Someone with a flat HRV and broken sleep gets a very different session from someone with a stiff lower back and heavy training legs.
PEMF typically sits alongside compression, red light or sound in one block. Those pairings are chosen deliberately — the recovery effect is bigger when the modalities complement rather than compete.
Re-scan and compare. If the markers moved, the protocol holds. If they didn't, we change the protocol rather than sell you more of the same.
What guests use it for
Guests most consistently report faster turnaround between hard sessions, especially when PEMF follows compression on the same visit.
Evening mat and goggle sessions tend to shift people toward rest-and-digest. Sleep quality is the single most-reported change in the first fortnight.
The chair is the popular entry point for desk-bound backs, tight hips and general end-of-week stiffness — 20 to 30 minutes, fully clothed.
Headset and goggle protocols pair well with breathwork and sound for people whose main complaint is a mind that won't slow down.
Safety & contraindications
Non-electronic implants (titanium plates, screws, joint replacements) are usually fine with adjusted placement — tell us at intake. PEMF sessions here are wellbeing support, not medical diagnosis or treatment, and do not replace care from your GP or specialist. If you are under clinical care, bring your clinician's guidance and we will work within it.
PEMF therapy · FAQ
PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy. Low-frequency magnetic pulses pass through the body from a mat, chair, headset or goggles. It's entirely non-invasive — you stay clothed, nothing is injected, and most people feel either a faint pulsing or nothing at all beyond becoming very relaxed.
Sessions run 20 to 40 minutes depending on format and goal. Most guests describe a subtle tingling or gentle thrumming, and a large share fall asleep on the mat. You can stop at any point, and intensity is adjustable throughout.
Because otherwise there's nothing to judge the session against. A scan gives us vitals, recovery markers and stress patterning, so the protocol is chosen from your data and the re-test can show whether it worked. It's the difference between a treatment you hope is helping and one you can check.
PEMF is not suitable if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, cochlear implant, insulin pump or any other active implanted electronic device. Avoid it if you are pregnant, have epilepsy or a seizure history, are being treated for cancer, have had an organ transplant, or have active bleeding or an untreated blood clot. Under 18s need guardian consent and a tailored protocol.
Non-electronic implants such as titanium plates, screws or joint replacements are usually fine, but tell us and we'll adjust placement and intensity. If you take blood thinners, blood-pressure medication, insulin or anything affecting seizure threshold, mention it at intake — some protocols get modified and occasionally we'll ask for your clinician's go-ahead first.
No. Everything here is wellbeing support and insight, not medical diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace advice or care from your GP or specialist. If something you describe belongs with a clinician, we'll say so and point you there.
Sleep changes are often noticed within two or three sessions. Stiffness and recovery markers usually need three to four weeks of consistent use — commonly two sessions a week — which is why we re-scan at the four-to-eight-week mark rather than earlier.
Single PEMF sessions are bookable any day through our schedule. Recover, Rejuvenate and Realign memberships include session credits, and eligible Wellhub (Gympass) members can access recovery sessions here too.
